For the first time since 2017, D1WA brings drifting back to Perth Motorplex!

Join us for a day of up close, tyre frying smoke-fuelled action where we will crown the King of Queen of the Motorplex.

 

Saturday June 19th Schedule

07:00 – Gates open for Drivers

07:45 – Drivers briefing

08:00 – Track opens and spectator entry opens

12:30 – Drivers briefing // includes comp session explanation and selection criteria

12:40 – Track re-opens

14:20 – Top 16 announced

14:30 – Competition format begins – Top 16 // Expression sessions for non-top 16 drivers in between battles

16:30 – Top 16 Concludes // Winners announced // Track closed

 

Spectators are $20 per day, payable at the entry to the Motorplex. (Cash or Card). Kids 12 & under are free

 

Passenger armbands are $20 per day available from the D1WA Merch Tent. Passengers are responsible for finding a driver to take them in a Passenger Approved vehicle. Passengers must sign a waiver. A Helmet, enclosed shoes, long sleeves and pants of non-flammable material is required to be worn.

 

DRIVERS:This is a Multi-club licence event, you need one of the following: AASA License (Club Race License) https://aasa.com.au/licences/ OR Racers Clubman Licence https://racers.world/buy-licence/do/newOR Cams L2S Licence.

 

SCRUTINEERING:  Fake/non-compliant harness will be the most important part of the car being checked by scrutineers at this event. All genuine harnesses have a hologram on the left shoulder strap and are still passable 5 years past the FIA expiry date. If you did not buy your harnesses brand new from a genuine race shop or have any doubts, please send photos to us before the event and we will let you know if they will pass.

Basic vehicle requirements are as follows; Fire extinguisher within drivers reach, no hot liquid in cabin), seat firmly mounted, rubbers on pedals, no steering slop, fuel cells must be correctly sealed, battery mounted securely and positive terminal covered, no holes in front and rear firewalls, catch can secure and of adequate volume. Glass headlights need to be covered/taped, tail and brake lights working, tow points accessible (please ensure it is clear and easy for our recovery vehicle to hook on to your tow points otherwise your car may get damaged!), bonnet has 2 forms of latching, exhaust secure and exits in correct place, no body damage that would cause a risk to safety.

DRIVER REQUIREMENTS: Helmets, enclosed shoes, long sleeves and pants of non-flammable material is required. A single layer race suit is required to participate in the Top-16 competition.

 

RACE NUMBERS: All D1WA events require race numbers to be displayed on the front upper passenger side of the window (yellow sticker 180mm high). If you have not been allocated a number, please email or message the Facebook page with a list of numbers you would like. Most numbers below 200 are taken so please send a large list in order of preference, after your number is locked in you can get one made yourself to our specs or we sell them for $10 on the day.

 

PASSENGERS: Only the following vehicles can be signed off for passengers:

If you wish to take passengers you will need to be signed off by a scrutineer and given the appropriate passenger approved sticker. For the Perth Motorplex – King of the Plex event:

For passenger rides, vehicles must comply with Point 5 of event Supp Regs and Class 1a roll cage required OR 2019 onwards D1WA caged & logbooked passenger approved vehicles OR CAMS approved caged logbooked passenger approved vehicles. The rest of the vehicle must meet the normal basic requirements.
